Wow! What a week, and I didn't even think I was doing that amazingly well! I expect this week will be worse, due to interesting biology, but if I lose anything at all, I will be halfway to goal! Sometimes it feels like this is taking so long, and there is such a long way to go. Probably this is because it happens to be true. Still, one has to remember that a journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step (or insert your own favorite cliche). And it's not even as much as 1000 miles, even if it does feel that way. (My husband assures me that it will actually take about 1000 mi of walking in all to reach my goal weight. *sigh* Thanks, man.) But anyway, on that scale, I have come about 500 miles so far, and I love the look of where I am going! It means a lot to me to have come so far, and really the only startling life changes I have made are to try to do at least a little physical activity daily, and not to consume food without thinking about it first.

I wonder when I am going to really need to buy some new clothes. I am kind of hoping to put most of the actual shopping off till next spring. This year, the things I had to squeeze into last summer are fitting comfortably, or a little loosely. In the winter, I'm sure most of my sweaters will fit fine; I'd rather there were extra room in them anyway, and I can replace them with slightly smaller sizes as they wear out, or as I receive holiday gifts. But I really hope to be a significantly smaller size by next summer, even if the last pounds are slower to come off than the first ones, so I expect to need some new things by then.

You are doing great, keep it up, if you are losing slowly it just shows that it will stay off, so you are doing it right. Keep it up.
