Venting here. I've managed to not gain weight for years, but also have not lost. I've done that because, while my WOE is not always the greatest, I've always been very active. Now I have a torn Achilles and am looking at being off my feet for up to 12 weeks. I don't know how I'm going to get through this. So depressed. I keep spontaneously crying. I LOVE Christmas, but now I'm just sad...
200.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 25.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Praying. ❤️🙏 It will not be easy but can be done. Dig deep, take one day at a time. Believe me, I’ve had setbacks. 12 weeks will get gone before you know it. Be encouraged. xo

You WILL get through this 🤗 Search for seated exercise on YouTube or maybe focus on upper body for now. The important thing is to allow your body to heal & give it the best nutrition that you can. You've got this👍💙

Why are you sad—- there is more to Christmas than just FOOD there are many exercises that can be done from a chair. Portion control and moderation. Don’t CX Christmas, change your focus.

This may not feel very helpful, but this is what I recently learned. Rather than focusing on what you can’t do, focus on what you can do. I recently pulled a muscle in my leg and am very frustrated because I am working on a lifestyle change. I remembered what I just told you and have been doing cardio videos on U-tube and have modified what I do based on my current limitations. I also know it is very hard because we are frustrated that our body let us down. You’ve got this!! Where there is a will, there is a way. I have also spending extra time listen to weight loss podcasts and picked up a couple of books on fitness to help during this time. I am planning for the future. Once again, you’ve got this.

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way, Linda - I know it can be so consuming. It’s also hard to be told what to do by all of us with opinions like we know you or what’s best, but we mean well. This is a season, and it will soon pass. You once filled your cup with activity, but during this season maybe finding a new way to fill your cup will help you get through it. Prayers, love, and all the good vibes being sent your way, Linda!

When I have a setback like this, I ask myself what is there to be learned? What else can I work on? How is the universe asking me to change things up? I wish you good healing and perhaps some inspiration. Necessity is the mother of invention after all.

I spent from January to August in a bed so I know it’s no picnic. I hope you heal fast and get to enjoy some Christmas. Sending you love and prayers.

I broke my pelvis and was non weight baring for 90 days. my whole body atrophied, l lost 30 pounds despite eating cheesecake almost dailey. i was looking pretty stringy now I go the gym or physical therapy daily using my walker and eat a low carb high protein diet. in two months I ve gained 10 back. and looking better. Anyway don't give up, keep focused on your goals and with some time and a little luck you will recover

This can be done but just one day at a time. I have to break it down so I do not get discouraged. I figure out what is my daily goal. I log here...and if I am scrupulous I usually start to drop...back the few pounds I am looking at. If not...like this holiday season... I start tweaking what is the daily menu....til it moves. This method keeps me alert to how food is affecting me. My best to you for the healing of the Achilles. Just keep 🧘‍♂️ here...and talk about, log and let us know.

Hello Linda, Believe it or not, we care !!!! And from what I read with what I read. We all have medical problems. The ideas are excellent. I could list my health issues, but I won’t now. However, I will tell you my life will NEVER be the same again, injures will do that, to everyone that caref enough to send good wishes and try to help you with suggestions.With this comment I am speaking for my self only, I am very disappointed with you. Good luck with your life, but remember you are not the only one going through a tough time.

Mr.E, I know it's not my place to get involved but i still will, let's show Linda compassion at this time, she doesn't want to have these issues but here she is being vulnerable with us, I salute you for caring but let's "care" carefully as one more tough word can at times push persons in the wrong direction. Hello Linda, I am checking in to see how you are doing.. This is far from my favorite time of year. My Mother died in August 2021, and I had read about it when I googled my brother’s cell phone #. Holidays I just want to be by myself. What I am trying to say is, this Holy Dayis for our Lord. We are supposed to center Him. I will keep you in my Thoughts and Prayers.🙏
