I do not eat to nourish my body. I eat when I'm happy, sad, stressed, angry. I eat even when not hungry. Food is my drug.

The struggle will always be there I think. We must be persistent and not give up on ourselves.

yes it is a constant battle. Some folks do not understand the struggle but I know many here do.

I think alot of people can relate to this. I know when I go through a depression cycle I tend to use food like a drug as well. Keep your head up. You'll get where you want to be

It's no wonder. Our culture focuses every celebration, every win, every holiday around food. We need a serious reprogramming. It starts with us. Let's do this! I'm cheering you on to the next 28 pounds down!

Isn't it normal to eat for reasons other than physical hunger? All cultures have feast foods that are eaten for pleasure and celebration, not merely to satisfy physical hunger. When it gets out of control, it does need to be addressed, but I'm not sure there is anything wrong with eating for reasons other than mere need.

I am day 7 in and I officially went from 18 can dr peppers a day to one. Have been able to stay within my calorie count calories!!!! and I lost 2.2 lbs this week

Same here. It's so hard to not go to food for comfort.

You are absolutely correct, you have realised the root cause. Now, I can predict, you will move stedily to your goal in a steadfast way.....1: Food in Moderation in Deliberation .. 2:Regular Exercise....3:Good Quality and Quantity of Sleep....is a very old common sense proven method....There is an formulation in old books 2S2S2P - which I shall post... for Healthy Happy Long Life... YOu just have to find other things to keep you occupied....maybe a pet. Taking a dog for a walk is a must bc they have to relieve themselves....gaming, crochet/knitting, meditation, hiking, window shopping....
