Good morning from Paris!

Wife and I had a blast yesterday, trawling through Marcé Vernaison, the Vernaison Market and other markets surrounding it. It's the most awesome place. We bought some movies, new clothes, stuff we needed, stuff we didn't need, raided an army surplus store, and had lunch at an awesome little Iranian restaurant.

(The King's new clothes)

It was just a nice, relaxed day. The sun was out most of the day.

We had a little breakfast at he hotel. It's incredibly plain, basically just a baguette, cheese, water and coffee. I just had a little, as I really wasn't too hungry. It'll be the same today. This makes the breakfast bang for the buck really lousy, but we get up hours before anything opens, the café has unlimited coffee and it's the better option to kill some time. We brought the tablets, I get to write my journal and we'll watch a movie afterwards while we wait for the stores to open.

I didn't get to take a whole lot of pictures yesterday, so this one of Wife is taken right now at breakfast.

Notice the AWESOME shirt she bought yesterday.

I did awesome on the calories, without even trying. I took pictures of the foods I had, measured conservatively in my head and made enough notes that I could enter the foods in my food diary back at the hotel where we have Internet access.

(Lunch, at Iranian restaurant, so much food that I only had half)

This filled me up so well that I only had a small soup at a Chinese restaurant for dinner. Just an entrée. No main course for neither of us.

My total calories for yesterday was about 1100. Very nicely done.

We ended up walking for about 7 hours yesterday, without any of us really feeling tired from it. It was so nice. Best day in a while.

Today is a little rainy. It's grey outside and slightly colder. I'm not sure what the plan is just yet. If we can stay dry, it's probably gonna be markets, and if not then find some indoor places. There are virtually unlimited options!

...

When I woke up this morning, it felt like my body was screaming for a workout. I am glad I have the Chris Powell workouts on my tablet. I did 30 minutes. It's the first time I have gotten to do them in along time, and it was surprisingly easy. Still, it's a good, efficient workout, and for a vacation it's perfect for me. It doesn't kill me to the point where I can't do anything for a while, and it still works all my muscle groups efficiently. And boy do I feel a difference. It felt amazing to notice how much stronger I am now! Wow!

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
Paris!
Wife!
Having so much fun!
Eating consciously! I just threw away the other half of breakfast!

Life is good!

Pics are great :-). Next time - and I am sure there will be a next time. Take some exercise bands with you... They take up no room and will enable you to do some strength and flexibility exercises. Love your jacket and DW shirt :-)
