Talk about a motivator: I needed to go out and buy some sweatpants for physiotherapy tomorrow. I usually wear skirts, and the two pairs of non-jeans pants I own were bought when I was 50lbs lighter than I am now. So I went into the store, grabbed the biggest size they had, and went into the change room. I'm a freaking WHALE. A pear-shaped whale. No, wait, whales need to be aerodynamic. I'm closer to an upside down hot air balloon. From now on, when I need motivation to get exercising, I'm putting these on and looking in a mirror.
On the upside, I finally measured my average walking speed, and did 3 kms in half an hour. Now I can start adding walks to my route while running errands, instead of taking the bus, and I'll have an idea of how long it will take me. And I'll go faster if I imagine I'm in the sweatpants of DOOM, and I want to run away from anyone who sees me. ;)
