Well today just proves that clothing sizes can vary hugely even with the same manufacturer/brand.
Fruit of the Loom polo-shirts in XXL fit me.
Fruit of the Loom Athletic shirts (vests to me and other Brits) are tight (not hugely, but noticeably).
Luckily I only bought the vests to take to Spain with me for when it's hot because I rarely go without a top of some form. So I still have a couple of months to sort it out. and they aren't so tight that they won't fit by then (I hope)
