I haven't had a chance to be on here much lately besides tracking my food, but I am still here and still going :) I finally finished Dr. Atkins book and cannot begin to tell you how much it has helped me. I have many food allergies and I did not know (my allergy Dr. did not inform me) that allergic responses can continue to happen when you have other foods that can contain the substance you are allergic too. For example, Dr. Atkins says if you have a mold allergy (which I do) to avoid nuts and hard cheeses (I thought I only had to avoid blue cheese types, and I have hives on a regular basis but since reading the book and really researching and cutting out alot of things I have been hive free) I also have issues with gluten, etc. I have an appointment with my doctor next week to go over blood work (He upped my Synthroid dose and it needs to be checked again to see if it is the correct dose) All in all, I really found the book to be extremely helpful and I KNOW that I am on the right road for me. This weight is coming off even if it is a little slower than I would like it is still coming off! I feel renewed and excited! I am so glad for this site and all the advice, support, and recipes that can be found here!!

Continue to be blessed in your efforts. Knowledge can be a pretty powerful thing, and it sounds like you just got pumped up with a huge dose of it. I agree with you, this site is such a blessing, and is the best one like it on the internet. :-)
