ElizabethBennet's Journal, 09 September 2012

Today is my oldest son's birthday. He is 19 now and in college. Wow!! Where does the time go? Today I made him his favorite homemade Sunday dinner of homemade chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, pickled beets (all of which came out of our garden) crescent rolls, and homemade pumpkin pie. You know what? I wasn't tempted a bit. I have no appetite and I am so excited by this loss I am finally seeing that I will not be tempted off of the path I am on.

I am so thankful for my family and I am thankful that I have finally found something that seems to be working so I can be around longer to enjoy them. Today is just a good day!

My son is with Jesus and I know he's eating better than I could ever feed him, but I'd sure love to fix him another favorite meal no matter how tempted I'd be. You are a blessed woman indeed. Continued blessings to you as you progress toward your goal!

Happy B-Day to your son -- my youngest son is 19 too - will be 20 in January. His special meal sounds terrific but like you, I'd not be tempted -- healthy is what feels best. DLynn -- so sorry about your son - I have 2 dear sons (and 2 dear daughters) and I cannot imagine the sorrow of losing one. Bless you!

Elizabeth! What great news. Congratulations to you for not being tempted, and happy birthday to your son! My eldest "son's" favorite meal is Alpo Lamb & Rice on top of some Beneful, ha.

Happy Birthday to your son, and congrats to you, for finding a way of eating that works for you, along with the strength to stay away from those things that would take you off of your chosen path. Have a blessed day! :-)
