O.K. Maybe 500 cals is too little to start out with and will eventually leave me exhausted. So, I decided to shoot between 800-900 cals a day. Finally got my diet Mountain Dew! Need caffine! It's not my motivation thats lacking its my engery! Tommarow hopefully I will have lost atleast another pound. However I feel, i need to exercise anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so hard. Maybe the kids will stop waking me up at night soon. It's only been 2 friggin years of no sleep.

If you stay between 800-900 calories in a day, your body will go into starvation mode, and you will likely gain weight, not loose. That is why they recommend between 1200 and 1800 calories for women. You just have to make sure if you eat 1200 calories, you burn at least 1700.
Yeah.. you cant survive on 800-900 calories a day. You need to listen to your body..if your hungry eat, but eat good foods.. not junk. I am down to 1-2 cans of pop a week. I mostly just drink water and that is what gives me my energy. If I am feeling hungry.. i will drink water too.. because alot of the time it is my bodies way of tricking me into thinking it is hungry. I am 236 pounds I started at 268 and I have been eating around 1400 calories a day. Some days less.. some days more. I am not going to obsess over it. FOr me it is about getting healthy.. and losing weight.

I - third this response - the less you eat, the more your body tries to conserve the fat to use for energy, and it will eat up your muscle tissue , too, if you do not have enough protein. My diet calendar looks like I am under 1200 nut I allow for human errot in calculating calories and portions. Yu need to eat to keep the metabolism stiked, too.
