LSG417's Journal, 11 June 2018

Since school is out, I had the youngest to work out with me this morning. Hubby was working in his office right off the den. I guess he heard me groaning while I was working my triceps hard cuz he opened the door and wanted to know what I was working on at that moment. I showed him what I was doing and he said he wasn't sure he could even use the 20 pound weight (he doesn't work out). He tried a couple of the exercises I do. He said he should start working out with us. Um, that's what I've been trying to get you to do!! Only problem is, he'd be watching my butt too much rather than working out, lol. At one point he told me if I keep this up, I'm gonna be able to kick his a$$. I laughed and told him I could kick his a$$ now!! 😂😂 Not really, he is quite strong despite not lifting, but I could probably make it hurt, lol. 😂 Maybe we will get him on board with the program before too long. I just want him to be healthy and with me to grow old with. We have too much life left to live and fun to have for him to let his diabetes take over.

Good luck with that and great job! My hubs finally decided to come along on my Keto eating plan since that was the only food I was willing to cook. Hahaha. He "accidently" lost 20#. Geez I hate men... LOL

Oh, I hate how they can lose weight easier!! If my hubby would give up his junk food habit (he claims he doesn't eat that much junk but I guarantee if he took the time to log what he puts in that mouth, he'd be surprised by the calories, carbs and fat he's eating) he would probably drop at least 10 or 20 lbs in no time.

That's funny. Maybe with your hard work showing your hubby will start exercising with you so he can get in good shape. You're being a good role model. :)

He has told me he's proud of me and my dedication and that it is motivating for him to want to do better. Just not quite motivating enough to actually make it happen just yet. I keep inviting him to join me!

hope he jumps in and starts working out. It's good for a person in so many ways.
