I'm Kristy, I live in South Australia and am on my journey to lose all my baby weight. I've lost 8.5 kilos and have about 12kg to go to get back to where I was before I had my 2 kids.

We're also planning getting married early next year, and I refuse to get married at over 80kg, so that is more motivation for me to succeed and get my body back.

Am i the only one? (a bit rhetorical)
hey, i met a guy online, and we figured out we went to the same gym... we met up for a spa date at the gym to check each other out, and we're still together 8 years later with 2 kids.

if people didn't want to be looked at, they wouldn't wear the tight gym outfits they do, surely?!*** By the way, i'm still wearing my maternity tops that are 4 sizes too big for me, so i'm obviously not there to be checked out and dress accordingly.

Where to Begin?
for me, it's all about the food!

when i had my 2nd child, i joined a gym and went every week for probably 6 months, i lost a little bit of the baby weight initially, but then didn't lose anything, because i wasn't focussed on the food. i know how to exercise well and hard, i know how to eat well. but if i'm not into it with the food, i can exercise to my hearts delight and stay the same.

so i'd suggest start with the food. once you've got the food going, the exercise and energy should follow.

i'm not a calorie counting freak. I just cut down my quantity with my evening meal. i weigh my meal and make sure it's between 350g-400g. i don't go back for seconds, and if the kids leave anything, i quickly give it to the dog or chooks so i'm not tempted to eat their left overs. i know the meals i make are nutritious and healthy, i was just eating twice as much as I should have been in quantity at meal times. not to mention the snacks and the mcdonalds take aways.

i cut my lunch down to one roll and maybe a piece of fruit if i'm still hungry where before i'd often make hot meals or eat 2 sandwiches and a extra slices of meat or cheese.

What are some of your embarassing/emotional/eye opening reasons for loosing weight?
feeling like i can barely fit into the plane seat, and the dinner tray is touching my stomach... that was the big one for me... i just had to lose the weight then or i wouldn't have bothered getting back in a plane again.

Supplements/vitamins?
my god, some of those pills sound scary...

i occasionally take a multivitamin, if i remember, and if my knees ache, i take glucosamine...

i really don't think i need too many suppliments if i'm eating decent actual food (ie fruit, veg, meat, fish, dairy)

You don't need to lose any more weight!
Just tell them:

I'm not cramming my veggies down your throat, why do you keep trying to cram your opinions down mine?! I am eating, everyday, nutritous and plentiful food, I'm not starving, I'm healthy... Jam your opinion, i'm not interested in it!

How do you reckon that would go down?
