I weighed this morning and it showed 229. 2 pounds down. I think the drinking of 14 - 8 oz. glasses of water is working. I noticed the other day that my skin is looking clearer and more youthful. My attitude is definitely more positive.
I did not get anything done yesterday after work. I think it is because I did not get alot of sleep the night before. Last night I slept for 8.5 hours and feel alot better this morning. I am going to focus on getting the house cleaned and do a workout on the treadmill tonight.

My workout today was good. I only did one set of 8 reps of heavy weights. I love the way it makes me feel. It's like it is waking up my body. I got to the gym today by 5 am. There were more people than I expected. I was a little nervous because of my size. I just reassured myself that I would not get this weight off if I left. I also did my treadmill this morning. I've got where I really enjoy working out. I think one of the reasons is because I don't push myself to do an hour a day. I just don't have the time right now, but 30 minutes seems to be managable.
I could not sleep last night. I kept thinking of everything I need to do at work. Hopefully the lack of sleep will not effect my work. I have a light week so maybe I can catch up on paperwork.

FOOD:
I started atkins 3 weeks ago. I have enjoyed the journey and I am ready for the next step. I want to start tracking my net carbs a little closer and also my exercise. I don't believe that I am having as many veggie carbs as I should. I was on the atkins site in the forum and someone had mentioned that they put all their veggies in the snack section to make it easier to count the net carbs. I thought that was a good idea so I decided that I was going to do the same. I also am having a hard time getting all my water in especially if I am in court. Can't bring water into the courtroom. I am trying to drink 6 glass (8oz.) in the morning before work and 6 through the day and then 3 in the evening. That is so much water. I know that it makes a difference however because I did not drink as much this pass week and I could tell on the scale. So next week I am going to focus on tracking my food to make sure that I get my veggies in and also I am going to see if there is a way to track your water intake on the tracker also and try to get the required water in.
ACTIVITY:
I have definitely become more active these past 3 weeks and have seen the benefits. I am going to focus on getting 12 miles in this week for the 100 mile challenge. I am also going to count all activity in my day - including housework. I realized not to long ago that was one reason I had gained so much weight. I had someone coming in to clean my house and did not replace that activity with something else. It is amazing how much you can burn when you just do regular everyday activities. I let the housekeeper go and hired another person in the office. So in my book housework is a physical activity.
MENTAL:
I feel great. The future looks very promising right now. I have found a way to eat that I can live with. I have more energy. My husband and I do alot more together. I did not realize how little we did together until my granddaughter and grandson told me that we were married and that we were not suppose to date. lol. My granddaughter informed me that when we do stuff we are suppose have them with us. I told her that when she moves back home that we would make sure to include her and her brother. I also got my first compliment this past week. I had a girl tell me that my stomach looked like it had went down. I was so happy. I could tell by the way that my clothes fit that I was going down but I did not expect someone to notice. I think that my husband has noticed to because I have noticed that he is not eating as much carbs either. We have left over carb foods that I serve to him. I asked him the other day if he wanted me to fix something for him and he said no and instead had what I had. He also has been eating my atkins bars. He is not really big just has a belly. He also went biking yesterday. He has stated for the past couple of months that he needed to exercise and he has finally started. I am happy for him. Well I better go before I write a book.
