I weighed in today and lost almost 4 pounds. I'm feeling pretty good about that. Have been keeping a food diary and an exercise log. Thinks are looking up!

Have been to the gym this morning. Thursday night I had skittles, was going to only have a few. I did not eat the whole bag, enough to give me heartburn about midnight. Every once in a while, guess I need the reminder. I slept on the couch off and on until it subsided. Trying, always learning. Right back on program. Snow coming our way, looking for my exercise DVD incase we are snowed in. Take care!

Good day! Wow, did I figure something out today. My Fitbit has not seemed consistent when walking on the treadmill. Well, if you are holding on, your arm is stable and not able to count all your steps. My range of steps was too far off for the same amount of time, had to be a reason. I have been to the gym, hoping to add a few more exercises to my routine this weekend and step up my speed. Eating okay, could do better. One step at a time.

Good morning! Want to thank all of you for your comments, welcoming me back and encouraging me to move forward. I took my Granddaughters to the movies. All around me people where snacking and I drank water. First time ever I had no movie popcorn. I was pretty happy to make it through. Yesterday I was unable to get to the gym, so I took 2 walks through the neighborhood. About 8000 steps. I will miss weigh in this week, which before would mean a free day, not planning on any free days this week. Hoping my mind set stays with me and I have a good weigh in next week. Here in the Midwest it will again be a spring like day, going to the gym, maybe another walk with my Granddaughter after school. 10000 steps Hoping!

Hi. It has been way too long! I can say that after some time, I am trying again. I'm trying to record my food, weigh in regularly and exercise. Will try to keep up with this site also. My life has become busier than I ever expected retirement to be. I am NOT complaining, I love my life! I have a second home to be closer to my Grandchildren, I have even become a Girl Scout leader again and help with 3 troops that my Granddaughters belong to. I am privileged to be able to watch them participate in all of their activities when staying in the area. My husband is totally on board with my choices and joins me when he can and I am home when I can be also. We spend tons of time together, and after 45 years of marriage a little away time is okay! So back to the plan to lose this weight. It has been very hard, planning meals for me when it seems so much easier to drive- thru! I think a plan is finally coming together. I'm making new friends and contacts in our new home, have found a close gym, joined a weight loss group and a quilt guild. Hope to continue along this path to a thinner me!
