Hi in July of 2020, I got news that my cholesterol was borderline, I did not want to start taking meds, so I basically pulled out an old portion control diet I had that was based on 1800 calories. I have gone sugar free, keep foods that I eat each under 5 fat grams each , drink lots of water, eat veggies, and bake it boil/ broil or air Fry using only olive or grapeseed oil as my go to healthy fats. I have been able to follow this easily, even during Christmas I bought Russell Stover sugar free chocolates, so I wouldn't feel deprived. And try to keep that limited to 2 a day. My mayo is olive oil based, my bread and tortilla wraps are 45 cal. Low or no fat, and so far, I have lost 56 pounds. I would like to lose more, but I know I will have to reduce my caloric intake to around 1600 calories to continue.
