Got my workout in. It wasn't the hardest thing, but I did have a coughing fit near the end and I was sweating, so I'd say it did the job. It felt good to sweat with my muscles getting warm and limber instead of with chills in my sickbed. Ha! But really, it hit me while I was on the rower how good it felt and I just wished I could get some really deep breaths. Gimme another week and I'm sure I'll be at it full on. As long as this stupid amoxicillin works (though last time it took FOREVER-UGH!)

I think I'm gonna go through my old recipe book and the one I have at all recipes to find something new/different for next week. Feel like I'm in a rut, but don't know what to change. I used to make really good and interesting salads...they were like theme parks. Mexican, cobb, Italian, etc. We'll see.

Hope everyone's 'hump day' got them over the hump!

Made Jules Gluten Free cookie mix last night! I need to tweak them, but wow, really good! The cookie mix recommends using Earth Balance shortening, but it has soy and I don't want that in my diet, so at her suggestion on FB, I used coconut oil. Well, halfway through cooking, they looked like little puddles of cookie that ran into one another. HAHA! So next time, I will try with 1/2-2/3 the oil and make smaller cookies. I made the...classic chocolate chip cookies...using Enjoy Life chocolate chips (delicious!) So I had a few of those last night. I didn't even think about trying to figure the calories. Dang it! Next time....

I have only put back 1 of the 9 lbs I lost while sick. YAY! Tonight is Swing This and I'm hoping I can make it through. Still having an issue with getting a deep breath. Doc called in amoxicillin of 500 mg 2x a day (that's a lot!) so I have to be sure and keep my body as alkaline as possible (had my lemon water this morning and should cut back on coffee) and full of probiotics (happy bacteria) like with organic greek yogurt and my fermented sauerkraut! Don't want the antibiotics to kill the good stuff in me if I can help it.

Worked a long day yesterday. Unexpected 'pain in the ass job' came across mine and co-worker's desk. That's OK...it made up for last Monday when I left sick w/no pay. So I didn't get to make my salad last night which means it is on the schedule tonight.

I'll eat the same today, my yummy egg/ham/potato/peppers breakfast, gourmet GF mac-n-cheese for lunch, apple and walnuts for snack then have some of that salad for dinner.

I have slept so well the past 2 nights, it is hard to get out of bed in the morning. Still coughing up bits (damn it) but I haven't used my neti pot the past 2 days either, bet that would help! Duh!!

Told my girlfriends we are to take advantage of the weather and they agreed, so plans are in the works, just trying to work around schedules. Rained yesterday and supposed to rain today. Tomorrow I'm back at Swing This. Maybe Thurs. or Fri.-both days are gonna be perfect for walking and some exercises.
