Feeling FAT?
Laneyloo,
I feel the same way about my body. I lost about 40 lbs. 2 years ago and went from a size 16 to an 8. While I knew I wasn't as overweight as I was, when I looked in the mirror, I would see fat. I still do sometimes...I think it takes longer for our brain to adjust to our new image. I had a friend suggest that I take a picture of me in a "good" outfit. I was amazed at what I saw. That is when I really began to see my new self. I hope this helps in someway....

How to help someone you love
I wish I had an answer for you...but unfortuately I am in the same boat as you, except it is my husband.
When we married 17 years ago, he was 200 lbs and in the Marines. He hurt his leg during a training session and was not able to con't, so he was medically discharged. Although his knee wasn't debilitating, he quickly started gaining weight. He is now well over 600 lbs. (don't know the exact weight cause we don't know where there is a scale big enough to weigh him.) He has high blood pressure and breathing problems. The doctor has told him if he doesn't do something to lose weight he won't see 40. (He is 38.) No mater what I say, ask or do, he won't listen. Even though it is affecting our two kids.....
SO, if you get anything that works, let me know too.

IT'S NOT ABOUT THE SCALE PEOPLE!!!
Dianadac,
THANK YOU! I really needed your message today. Got on the scale this morning and after having a great week with food and exercise, gained a lb. I was very discouraged.
But after reading your message I thought about the fact that my 11yo daughter and I have run the 5K three times this week... cutting time off our run each time. This time last year, I couldn't run for a minute, much less a mile!
So the scale wasn't my friend this week...I am not going to let that get me down!
Thanks again for your positive words!

Hello
Hi Rebecca,
I am excited about BL tonight as well. It is a huge deal around my whole family. My two sisters and I usually gather our families and go to my mom's (next door) to watch it together! We all have our favorites and it is so much fun. My mom fixes dinner and we eat just before the show comes on....
Normally when we have a family dinner, it includes a dessert, but not on Tuesday nights! LOL She said she felt guilt for us sitting there watching the show and eating sweets. LOL
