I wondered if anyone else felt the same way!?
Im 44 in febuary and I m looking older since I ve lost the weight but I'm just obsessed with dieting and SCARED of gaining weight and wanting to start smoking again!Rolling Eyes

I feel the same way about my body. I lost about 40 lbs. 2 years ago and went from a size 16 to an 8. While I knew I wasn't as overweight as I was, when I looked in the mirror, I would see fat. I still do sometimes...I think it takes longer for our brain to adjust to our new image. I had a friend suggest that I take a picture of me in a "good" outfit. I was amazed at what I saw. That is when I really began to see my new self. I hope this helps in someway....

I always joke that I'm still a fat girl trapped in a skinny girl's bodySmile I think the thing that really helped me get a perspective on my body and my body image was delving a bit into the "fatosphere". Kate Harding especially has a great perspective-clarifying blog at http://kateharding.info/ and http://kateharding.net/ (warning: she likes her f-word).

There are more eating disorders than anorexia. Bulimia doesn't necessarily mean you throw up- it could mean abusing laxatives. This will wreak havoc on your digestive system. The longer you go doing something unhealthy like overusing laxatives, the more permanent damage you do to your body.
I suggest seeking some counseling before this issue gets out of control because EDs are deadly and you should be more interested in maintaining your overall health than just focusing on your weight. I guarantee you that gaining 10 pounds would be more healthy than starting to smoke again. If that doesn't matter to you, you definitely need some help.
Good luck!

honey, it's so hard to look at your body after you lost weight, only because your not use to the new you. And smoking again is going to mess you up. Lift your head high and you tell yourself "I'm so proud of myself and I am so beautiful." Feeling fat is so normal in a woman's life. We are so silly about our weights. It's so crazy. Look at it this way. Myself and thousands of others are here to support you. I am so proud of you. I don't know you, but I have faith in you. Keep up the work, and try not to get to too skinny.
with best of luck,
