OK, new bio. I have tried many, many, many diets over many, many, many years and have after now knowing that these are not for the long term. It has taken me a phenomenal amount of failures to recognise this and I am now taking it steady by simply reducing my calorific intake by 20% and exercising regularly. I am aiming at losing on average 1lb per week which by this time next year I should be 52lbs lighter! I am hugely ashamed to say that I did not get in any sort of good shape for my holiday, even though I did do some exercise before and during the holiday but of course that was too little too late and I spent much of the break covering up more than I would have liked and drinking pink icy drinks with much rum in it.

I am aiming to be able to be a totally, physically transformed woman this time next year, and feeling fantastic about myself in the process. I feel that my size is holding me back with my self-esteem and it has been so very long since I have felt good about my physical appearance I find it hard to remember exactly how that felt. I will be back to looking good and yes, it may take the entire 2009 to do this but I have spent so much time chasing get-slim-quick plans, a year, 52 weeks, 365 days is nothing compared to that wasted time. This way, I will not be deprived of essential foods and nutrients and will make me healthier.

PMT stopped me from my target until now!
I have been trying for so long, time and time again to lose weight I put on 2 years ago which was partially due to medication I was taking. Every time that I tried to lose weight, in the time just before and during my periods, I couldn't seem to keep up the good work and I became less hopeful each time because of it. I was extremely successful with a low-carb diet a few years ago and have since realised that when I was successful, it was when I was taking the contraeptive pill, microgynon which lessened and sometimes stopped any pmt symptoms that have, since I stopped taking it, been so severe, I decided to recreate my circumstances as closely as possible back then and have begun taking microgynon again. I am just getting what is hopefully my last painful period out of the way and on monday this week, I am beginning my diet once more, hopefully as successfully as last time. I will be closely monitoring this with great hope!
