Hmmmm... who actually reads this stuff? I am an aging mid thirties bloke who has suddenly realized that after way to many of years of smoking , shift work and over eating it is time to do something about it!
The New Year resolutions kicked and I made a whole host of them.
GIVE UP SMOKING!
LOSE WEIGHT
BE HEALTHY
BE REAL TO MYSELF
Four weeks down the line and still no smoking after trying for the last twenty years. No fuss, patches, drugs or gimmicks. I just decided that I don't smoke anymore.
Lose weight! Have already lost two stone earlier in the year but have fallen off the wagon over Christmas and with the no smoking. Time to get back on it. I would love to have a BMI that doesn't say OVERWEIGHT!!!!
Be healthy .... I got rid of the car and cycle to work now. One hour exercise everyday. No arguments, no excuses (or don't get to work!) and really good fun!
Being true to myself .... hardest one of the lot. Promising to do things I enjoy and to be nicer to the people I love. Sounds easy but "everyday life" gets in the way!
I'm doing this for me ....... I will not fail!
