56 years old, divorced mother of 2 x adult girls, have never particularly been overweight but tend to drink too much (particularly following my separation 9 years ago - more celebrating than drowning my sorrows though) and want to drop 5 - 7 kilos so I a) don't have to buy a new wardrobe and b) have a heart attack from being just plain unhealthy. Current weight 68.8kg, height 165cm

The turning point
Well that is literally the heaviest I have been in 10 years - I knew it, my clothes were getting tighter but I was in denial - first time on the scales in months and nearly had a heart attack. How did I let this happen? I know what to do to lose it but need to make sure my mind is 100% committed - we're going away 1st week of November so I've got a lot of work to do before then - even just to get to about 68kgs by then would be great - my overall goal is to be under 65kgs but that'll take time I know - I do NOT exercise but never have - maybe with the warmer, lighter days I'll get motivated and get out there

BACK ON THE DIETING THINGY
Back on it again so we'll see how disciplined I am - trying to not have wine (trying!!) so we'll see how it goes. Walked Timmy last night after work and although only 2km's was better than what we've both done in a long time. He needs the walk as much if not more than I do so got us both out & about. Once I set my mind to it I CAN do it but I need to get my mind in the right direction - Shannon's turn for a walk tonight but it'll be in the dark as I won't be home until after 7
