Day four and (hopefully) five of no seizures! YES!

So...I can't stress enough how happy it makes me to not have them. They have been so debilitating and draining for so long that it's such a blessing not to have them.

I was a bit bad yesterday though with the whole eating healthy thing. I knew that I had a Christmas lunch at work (one of the girl's I work with is going out on maternity leave this month) so I already planned accordingly for dinner. But then my boyfriend was late getting home and we had to run around after he got home, so we ended up eating out. Whoops!

But I'm back on the band wagon now. And I can definitely tell the difference between what I've been eating and what I had last night. My stomach was not happy with me at all. It's okay. We'll get it straight.

Day two of no seizures! Yay!

My boyfriend and I were talking last night and we both agreed that sugar withdrawal is very real and it's really bad. I can't tell you all how much I was craving something sweet last night. But I resisted! I told him that if we're going to do this, we've got to go cold turkey with it. We can't just have a nibble of something here and a bite of something there.

Our biggest thing is going to be energy drinks/soda. Energy drinks for him, soda for me. I used to drink energy drinks all the time, but they make the seizures worse, so I had to cut them. I'm going with green tea now to get my caffeine fix.

But on the other bright side, I definitely feel better now that I'm eating healthier. I feel much more alert and less sluggish. So go healthy foods!

Fingers crossed that I don't have a seizure this week and I drop at least three pounds. It's looking good so far! :)
