Happy Moan-Day!
Going to be a hot one here. Whole week is going to be scorching, no walk for the dogs. The big dog is now very heat sensitive. Walks on 80 degree days have to be no more than 2 miles or he will start to poo while walking...seriously, it just pops out...poor thing.
Had a blast with the grandbaby on Saturday. We took him to the "big park". He couldn't make us his mind what he wanted to do first. I was more than happy to run up and down ramps and bridges, and hold his hand on the big slides. Had a huge meltdown when it was time to leave, but it was hot, he was tired....and he is 3. Par for the course.
Anyone out there know appliances? I am having some trouble with our dryer. Could use some suggestions. I so can not afford a mechanic this month.
The body fat monitor comes today. I think I will use it every Monday afternoon. You have to use them at the same time, and in the same place everything you use it. Better to do it in the morning, but that's a no go for me. 4:20 is just to darned early to try and read a tiny screen.
I am feeling very bloated. Still not regular on the bowel front. Upped the water, not seeming to have much effect. I have fiber stuff to mix with water, but really don't want to use it unless things stop moving all together.
Finally getting my bills caught up from the wedding. I think some of this weight will drop when I am not worrying over what is and isn't getting paid.
Today is my "do nothing" day, but I am scheduling Body Pump for tomorrow. Its a different instructor, hope she is as good as the one on Thursday. If not, guess I will need to get my lazy bum out of bed on Saturday.

Body Fat % was 31%....2% less than the first reading!!! Still need to work on the pounds, but at least the fat is leaving!

I realize I haven't been posting much this week. I am very discouraged at the lack of progress. Though I haven't had two weigh-ins that show it, the scale continues to creep up. Last week my high day was 156, this week it's 158. Usually by Friday, its back to 153. If it is 158 when I weigh-in this afternoon, I am charting it. Tomorrow I am going to buy a body fat measurer. Though I may not be following my calorie counts to the letter, I am in the ballpark, so the constant creep has me scratching my head. I have upped the workouts and scaled back the count this week. Need to find the source of the potential gain before it sticks.
As for the weekend, I am not going to have alcohol. Of the items I log, this is the only change I can honestly trace to a gain. I am not a drinker, so having wine a few days a week is much for me. I do find that I get a lot of congestion after I drink, so I may have a sensitivity that causes not only congestion but water retention.
I have also upped my water intake. I have noticed since the heat came in, I am not drinking near enough.
The only other real change in my routine was Body Pump. This is the reason for the body fat percent thingy. I don't feel 5lbs heavier, and I don't look it either.
Since the heat finally broke yesterday afternoon(along with a delightful drive through a torrential rain storm), I will skip the gym and walk the dogs. Poor boys haven't been out for a walk all week. I'll do some leg stuff on the bowflex after.

158 solid 3 days in a row.
Really disappointed.
Time to reflect:
Low hormones...nope, if anything hormones are in overdrive. No hot flashes, plenty of energy, pretty sweet actually for the past 2 weeks.
Snacking...maybe. I have been snacking more than usual, but I log everything and balance the calories accordingly
Portion control..well I did stop measuring for a bit. Have been back to weighing and measuring everything for the past 3 weeks.
Not exercising...definately not this. I have been really good about exercising since the wedding.
Eating crap... I think not eating but drinking crap. Drinking soda and alcohol way more than usual lately.
Stress...yeah I got some of that. Should get better once the finances straighten out from the wedding.
Sleep...lately is great
Hydration...not so good in this department
Bowels...not as regular as usual. Could be cause for a pound. Probably from not drinking enough water.

When I got out of bed yesterday, I grabbed my gym bag. Noted that it was on the light side. Though I could have sworn I packed it on Sunday (after the laundry was done), I threw in a t-shirt, a pair of socks and a hand towel. Checked for the capris, yep, they are in there. Bag is still light, chocked it up to not putting in a bath towel and went to work.
Its one of those things that eat at you....about 12:00pm, it hits me I DIDN'T PACK MY GYM SHOES!!! D'oh!!!
Since I wore sandals to work, there was no way I could hit the gym on my drive home UGH!
Day wasn't a total loss though. Instead of a cardio day, I had a shoulders and back workout with the Bowflex.
Tonight (and under strict orders), the hubby and I will learn all the leg exercises.
Shoulders are a bit sore, so I guess I am getting the positions right. I can't believe how many exercises there are to do for shoulders, neck, back and arms. I did about 15 reps an exercise, and after 1 hour, still hadn't done them all.
Today is supposed to be a BodyPump day, but I think I need to move that to Tuesdays. I will be teaching soon, which will mean no exercise on Thursdays. Better to switch the routine now.
