A series of late nights have hindered my efforts to exercise. That's not really an excuse though. I could have exercised at 10 pm. It's not like I don't stay up much longer than that. But, I felt I needed some wind-down time, ya know?

I went jogging for the first time yesterday. I bought shoes earlier in the week for that very purpose. I went a total of 2.5 miles, but I didn't jog the entire way through. I walked for about 25% of it. Nonetheless, I'm pleased. I'm going to make it a part of my weekly exercise. I'm shooting for about 3 days a week.

I'm going to start tracking my water intake- not total fluid, just water. I hear so many theories about water consumption that I don't really know how much I should be taking in, but I'm going to increase anyway just to see if it makes a difference in weight-loss. I'd say I average 36-48 ounces a day currently, with most of the consumption coming in the evening- especially if I exercise. My goal will be 64 oz. a day. Going to get my first 12 oz. now!
