Ok, so I figured out that calorie counting was not working for me. After coming off the pain killers after surgery in March, I was too drawn to carbs.
At my daughter's baby shower, I ate cake, chips, etc... and my face and hands were swollen the net day. Blood pressure has been going up, etc...
Now I am on Atkins again. Just completed the first week and the water is coming off, blood pressure coming down. Yeah!
A lot of stress in the house from my husbands job and family is coming for a month starting in July. Here's hoping I can stick to the plan and start feeling a lot better.

I hate eating late and missing my bedtime. I am a morning lark and honey is a late night owl. Guess who usually wins! ;-)
So, I have to be real careful about eating late and getting enough sleep. Working on a plan. Like the Pink Panther....

Week 10 after hip replacement. I stood up out of my chair today while exercising at the gym. Hooray...progress...
Diet is going reasonably well. Limiting simple carbs, calorie counting, drinking more water and trying to up the exercise level.
3 steps forward, one back. Progress
