Trying something new. Going to jump start my weight loss with the Special K Challenge (they have a meal list, shopping list, meal program, etc to follow). After I've completed this I'll work through Dr. Victor Sierpina's Healthy Gut Workbook to get into the habit of eating health and will probably do the flush system he discusses in the book. We'll see if this works.
All in all, this first day has been fairly easy. The trick that I've used to make it through the day has been to drink a TON of water to help curb the hunger effect of eating less. Fingers crossed.

I had to have an emergency surgery for appendicitis that was about to rupture. They had to do a full incision due to the severity of the issue, and that caused a great amount of healing time. My diet and exercise went out the window. I found myself pigging out on everything in sight, and as you can see, my weight shows it. I've decided I need to get back into eating right and exercising.
I'm finding the exercising to be a bit of an issue since I'm having a lot to deal with in personal issues right now. I find myself feeling a little depressed and just wanting to sleep all the time. Well, I know exercise will help with that, so I just need to force myself to do it.
Full swing, here I come!!! Lower weight, be ready. I'm coming to get you!

My jaw is still hurting pretty bad, but I hate that I've taken so many days off from exercising again so soon after just starting back from my foot injury. So, I did get up and exercise this morning, but I took it easy. I'm also trying to do some of my "desk work" standing instead of sitting. I thought it might help encourage me to move around more and be less sedentary.
I've lost more weight, but I think some of that is water weight. Either way, that's great. I'm getting closer and closer to my goal. I only have 5 more pounds to go, but I want to start really focusing on toning. Now that I've gotten rid of a lot of fat I want my body to be more defined. Ya, I look better and slimmer (especially with my clothes on), but I look so flabby with my clothes off. Granted I've given birth to 3 children, but I don't want to use that as an excuse to have a body that just doesn't look appealing when I look in the mirror. In other words, I want to look great by next summer so when I put on a swim suite I'm feeling confident about how I look. So, toning here I come.
