Hi... now that the children have left home and the car becomes more attractive than a walk plus enjoying good food and good wine the pounds gradually crept on. Then in March 2017, some 2 stone over-weight, I found I not only avoided mirrors but also shop windows in case I caught a glimpse of my oversize stomach and double chin(s). Like us all I am so impatient on diets expecting a few days of starvation will see the pounds slip away.

So I went back to my Fat Burning Soup Diet book I last used in 2012 with good results. However it turned me off celery before but with a new way of preparing it I feel ready to Fat Burn Soup again.

Started on 1st April (2017) weighing in at a jumbo 189 pounds. By the 1st May (2017) managed to get down to 166 pounds. Due to go on a Mediterranean cruise on 4th May which I am looking forward to with a new confidence especially being able to fit many of the shorts, sweaters and shirts I long put away.

But how do I maintain the loss... that's my new problem!

Back and Fat after 5 Years
Made my own version of the Fat Burning Soup diet... managed to reduce from 190 pounds to today (1st May 2017) 166 pounds in 30 days. No dairy (apart from semi-skimmed milk in my tea) no bread, cake or biscuits (cookies)lots of fruit and veg and a weekly portion of lean steak, grilled salmon steak and chicken breast (Deborah Barone style... lemon chicken). Can now fit shirts, shorts, slacks, sweaters I've long put in the wardrobe and not embarrassed to wear swimming gear and to swim and sunbathe. Now looking forward to my Mediterranean Cruise on 4th May with newly gained confidence. Secret: determination and too long avoiding mirrors.

Diary: 1st May 2017. Weight 166 pounds. Today's planned intake: 4 cups of tea with skimmed milk (may be one or two more) = 40 calories; 8 strawberries (no sugar, cream etc.) = 50 calories, 16 grapes = 50 calories; pink lady apple = 55 calories; 375 ml of pinot grigio in spritzers = 240 calories; grilled chicken breast = 200 calories; large portion of grilled vegetables = 100 calories; uncooked celery and carrot throughout the day = 50 calories. TOTAL CALORIES: 705 CALORIES. My expected calorie burn for my age and activity is 1,800 calories. Therefore, today, I'm taking in over 1,000 calories less than I burn. AND I FEEL FIT AND HEALTHY

Love Eating
Just have to look at food and I feel the pounds piling on. Need to not feel hungry and have a waistline.
