Soon to be 35 year old with 2 kids, work full-time and volunteer full-time...not much time left to get fit after my 4 year old was born, but that has to change. I weigh the most I've ever weighed (non-prego) and I'm fed up. My commitment is to drink 60-80 ounces of water a day, stay around 1200-1300 calorie intake a day and exercise at least one hour a day. My husband and I are starting out by juicing at dinner time at least 3-4 times a week. Goal is to lose 20-40lbs over the next 6 months. Wish me luck!

Help! Need Motivation!
I'd recommend working out where it's most convenient and comfortable first, then work on getting to the gym. I have two children (4 year old boy and a 15 year daughter ;P) and I work full-time. My husband's work schedule prevents him from helping with drop offs and pick-ups from school and sports so I'm literally out and about 10-12 hours a day. I don't want to put my son through additional hour(s) of daycare after I pick him up from a 9 hour day at preschool so I don't go to the gym. I was fed up with my weight gain and just decided to start eating right and drinking the recommended water amount, which motivated me to workout. After all,I'm not going to go through the trouble of watching what I eat and drink if I don't see the weight-loss; and, I'm not going to see much weight-loss if I don't workout, is how I see it. It's more convenient for me to workout at home and hit the trails on the weekend with the kids so that is what I'm doing for now. I plan to get to the gym, but I'm starting at home first - one hour of P90x, Zumba, or whatever I feel up to - for now since I do not want to put off losing weight and getting back on track any longer. Good luck!!!
