If your doctor hasn't mentioned the actual origins of this diet, then you need a new doctor.

Methinks the lady doth protest too much. Your lengthy thesis on why this diet is so tremendous speaks volumes.

Yes my doctor mentioned all of this. And I did a lot of research before I started this diet. And yes I read the bad and the good. It was my choice and will contintue to be my choice. I know that after I have finished this round I will be able to continue on with my journey.

In regards to your quote of my lengthy thesis. I am not trying to convince anyone to do the diet, I am saying we should all support eachother regardless of what it is we are doing. So please do not put words into my mouth that were never said.

I have respect for all of you and I truly hope that nothing bad happens due to this diet, but its my choice. And its yours not to do it or to condone others who do it. Im just trying to get everyone to understand that we are all going through our very own journey.

to confusedangel, "I particularly liked the person who posted "I slipped a few times, but I got right back on, because I remembered what it felt like to feel that good... you feel bad the first week or so, but then you have so much ENERGY" (yes, i'm paraphrasing, but i think i got it awfully close to correct) - because it adds to my heroin - hcg similarity theory."

That was me that said that and I couldnt agree with you more. It did sound like an addiction. And that made me actually stop and think for a minute, because you are the first person to actually say something that makes sense on why not to do this. And I will think about it in that way. So thank you for your input.

For everyone else, someone had said HCG dieters fell off the face of the earth. I think they just got like me and got tired of trying to defend themselves and need positive energy around them. And yet I still wis you all well. Because as we all know, weight issues is the biggest problem in america.

Wow. You guys really care about those of us on this diet that you do not even know. I was simply trying to tell you all that we all have a right to do whatever we feel necessary. I have been on every diet possible and nothing has worked for me. This has changed my opinion on eating. K8YK, if this was a "banned" substance then it would be illegal to prescribe it in the United States. This is not the case. Also, im not starving! If I was starving i wouldnt be doing this! I love food, that is my problem, and my slip ups were not due to STARVING, they were do to me WANTING. And It was not detrimental to my weight loss. I had a 1 lb weight gain and then was right back on track. ON the flip side, I agree with all of you. This is a "dangerous" diet IF and that is a big IF, you are careless about it and you do not follow it the way you are supposed to. OBAKEMONO, it isnt the CURE diet and the advetisors that are calling it the cure are NOT the doctors that are prescribing it. My doctor is a very good doctor and went through a ton of prework before he would even allow me on the diet. So I dont agree with the CURE and either do doctors who are helping people to lose weight. I dont want to be skinny, I want to be healthy and in order to do that I have to reset my brain. Right now all it wants is carbs, carbs, carbs, because I have trained my body by eating it year after year. Now I am already not CRAVING carbs. And for me that is HUGE. I have never been successful on a diet because I have never had to be so committed to myself before and that truly is what all of our lifestyle changes are about. I am not going to come on to a diet website that is supposed to be here for all of our support and rant about how other people are dieting, it is all our own journeys, my journey is not your journey, but I invite you to follow along and support me. As I would love to support all of you.

My last comment would be to maymouse_101, I AM NOT AN ENDORSER (if that is even a word....lol) of this product. I use it and it works for me. As far as teenagers go.. I believe they have enough issues to deal with including body image that doing something like this is dangerous for them. As adults we can make our own decisions and I do not feel that a teenager should feel as if they are not good enough and would have to do an extreme diet simply to fit in. I am sure there are other circumstances but I am speaking of the teenages that are not at all overweight and think they are. I have 100 lbs to lose, I started this diet at 265. I am an obese person and I need the kickstart. I needed something to help me get to my goal and this was it. So please dont mock me. And if I do fail, I hope you all are here to support me. But dont judge on something you have never done. I understand you are all caring people or you wouldnt be so passionate with your responses, but be careful on what you say. People are here for support! And obviously we all have our flaws because we are all here. So lets support eachother and if you dont agree with it, just leave it alone. Or so I simply dont agree. And we can so ok. Thank you for your opinion.

Happy Life style changes to everyone! Good luck and have a great day!

Just wanted to throw in my opinion on this, not looking to start up a war. However, the thing everyone seems to be missing about the HCG diet is that it is not a diet. And it is not something you stay on forever. it is something to kick start your weight loss and get your mind/body reset, so when you do start your lifestyle change you are less likly to fail. I have been on the HCG diet for 23 days now. I have slipped three times. But once I slip i get right back into it, because I remember what it feels like to feel good. This diet doesnt make you feel bad, it makes you feel good. you dont have energy for the first week, but then that comes back . And no you dont have to excercise and you lose weight, but you want to exercise so you do. So i know this will not changes peoples minds about it, and I hope that parents are not giving their teenages the money to do this diet, it is their fault as parents if they do. good luck to you on all of your diets and transformations. I hope whatever you all are doing is working for you. we all have to do what works for us not what we think everyone else thinks works for us! have a wonderful night everyone!
