Down to 228, officialy 60 pounds now.
I had a work holiday lunch today to attend. They did not tell us ahead of time what they were going to serve. So I assumed the worst, like pasta or pizza with no salad to save me. When I got there they served Turkey, Mashed Potatos, Green beans, Rolls, Pumpkin Pie and Tea, basically a Thanksgiving meal buffet style. I skipped the mashed potatos and pie. Which left me with turkey, green beans, a small roll and unsweatened tea. Not to shabby if I say so myself. I ate small portions. I still got the social psrt of eating together without all of the added calories. This is still something I am learning to do. I am used to lots of yummy food with my loved ones and good friends. I am learning that I can still participate, and spend time with people and eat right too!!!
I had another bonus lately, I had a dozen donuts on my kitchen counter recently, I did not eat one. Instead I chose to eat my healthy snacks while others enjoyed a donut. I wasn't even tempted!! Damn that feels good!

Almost 60 pounds lighter! That is 210,000 calories that I have cut out of my life over 14 months (3500 calories x 60 pounds), pretty amazing when you look at it that way! I was thinking about how I have changed physically and mentally. My knees are holding up longer and I can walk further these days. I also have twice the energy that I used to. I used to get home from work, cook dinner for the family, then flop on the sofa for 2-4 hours each night because I was too tired to do anything. Now after dinner, I clean up dinner and do some chores, spend time with the kids and do little projects. What a difference. I have about 60 more pounds to go, I wonder how much energy I will have then???

Boy I am a jabber jaws today. The scale is finally headed in the right direction. Down. To 230. I'm so excited that after my Thanksgiving mistake I'm headed back in the right direction. I cannot wait for the end of the year to see where I am at. Everyone have a great day!
