Hi, my name is Jean and I live in King, NC, just outside of Winston-Salem. The past 15 years of my life, I've been dealing with weight issues brought on by the partial removal of my thyroid gland. The end of 2017, I started researching the Ketogenic diet and decided to give it a try. In mid-January 2018, I started making small changes to my diet such as removing diet soda. By February, I jumped in and started trying to eat better by trying to consume fewer starches, sugars & processed foods. I've had some set backs and I'm still trying to get to the correct fat/protein/carb percentages to be in ketosis, but I'm happy with my progress. I'm losing about 2 pounds a week which I feel is a healthy weight loss goal. I was really happy to find this website since it allows you to track net carbs in the foods I'm consuming. I think that will help me get the percentages I'm needing. I'm also happy to have the support of people who are going through some of the same struggles as myself. It's nice to have people to support and motivate you.
