I read Living Well with Hypothyroidism over the weekend. I found some good information that I dog-eared. Increasingly, I have been suffering from symptoms that quite possibly have something to do with my thyroid. My doctor upped my dose of levothyroxine last December. I have not had my medication adjusted since elementary school! Since then, my worst symptoms have remained- low-grade depression, air hunger, difficulty losing weight, and low stamina- but my TSH is still considered normal.

I have scheduled an appointment with my GP next month hoping to discuss my symptoms, my concerns, and possible changes to my treatment. I really would like to try Armour or another natural thyroid hormone.

I am doing okay on my weekly goals. I try to motivate myself every morning, I measure more often, and I snack less often, but
I am not where I want to be in my exercise program (in part due to my low stamina but also because exercise is out of my current comfort zone). Where my weight is? No clue. I'll weigh tomorrow morning to check the damage.

A couple of people on this site are recording bucket lists for future and past accomplishments. I think this is a great idea. I've been feeling unmotivated recently. I've been staying within my food budget (thank God) but I have not made great strides towards my physical, mental, and spiritual goals. There are many reasons but none sound convincing, even to me. So, I'm going to more clearly outline my goals and give myself some kudos for my past accomplishments.

Future goals:
1. To reach a healthy weight, between 135-65 lbs, and maintain it.
2. To exercise one hour a day, including strength training at least three times a week.
3. To earn an MA in English.
4. To find a career that I enjoy.
5. To become more spontaneous. Relax and have fun!

Past accomplishments:
1. Earned a BA in English, graduating magna cum laude.
2. Dropped from 225 lbs (my weight three years ago) and have managed to stay under 200 lbs consistently.
3. Have been able to enjoy traveling to England, Scotland, Ireland, and France.
4. Have purged my closet of clothes that are too big, too bland, or too unflattering. I have rid myself of two trash bags full of clothes and am expecting more...
5. I like myself. I know myself way too well, but I still wouldn't want to be anyone else (even a person that I think is more beautiful or successful). I would rather be myself.

Hmmm... The future goals still seem daunting, but I will be adding them to the second bucket list in no time.
