Do I trust my treadmill for Calorie accuracy?
I find that when I go for a treadmill walk, I start out at 2mph for a couple of minutes, then start ramping up to around 3.5 mph, and I also start bringing up the incline percentage to around 6%. I set my goal to get to around 250 or 300 calories (the later being around the 2 mile mark on the treadmill display). When it comes time to enter in my exercises, I have been selecting a moderate walk pace and fudging the length of time to approximate the amount of calories burn that my treadmill says...does this sound like the appropriate way to track this?
