Today I actually got up off of the couch and went for a 45 minute walk. I am really going to try to stick to the induction phase and increase exercise. Easier said than done.

My biggest downfall is during the week when I have to get up at 5:30 am. I am just exhausted all day, dring too much coffee and the last thing I want to do when I get home is exercise. Plus, I have insomnia sometimes (probably coffee after effects) so I am even more exhausted on those days. I must be a walking cortisol factory.

If I didn't have to put in those awful days and could just stay at home, I honestly think I could take this off in 4-6 months. I hope I still can, but so far I have not been successful.

Now that the weather is going to get better, I will be getting out the bike. I like biking a whole lot more than walking.

On another note, last night I took my daughter clothes shopping. She is a tween and takes a kids size 12, but when to extrapolate that, she looks like when she is finally in adult clothes she will be about a size 6. She looked just gorgeous in her new jeans.

I thought, I want to go back to that or at least some close approximation! Ok, I know I am 53 and I don't want to look stupid trying to regain a shape that will never come back, but I still don't have to look like this.

Right now I look like my high school librarian - ugh. She carried all of her weight on her butt and hips and had these really spindley legs. I looked at myself in the mirror last night and just gasped. I never wanted to look like that, yet here I am.

Well, I just hope I can pull this off.
