Hi, I'm... well, call me frootbat :) I'm 5'5, starting out at 235ish pounds, and looking to lose about 100 pounds. I'm 36 and actually lost about 200 pounds two years ago-- in a divorce. :)
I suffer from a lot of things that partially cause fatness and that can partially be cured by losing weight: depression, anxiety, hypothyroidism, edema in my ankles, HBP, sleep issues. My bad cholesterol is creeping up, but fortunately my blood sugar tests have never been even remotely worrisome.
I read a lot about what is in the foods that are on the supermarket shelves and that has made choosing a healthier lifestyle a lot easier. We still eat some sodium/chemical laden food products (hamburger helper!), but we try to keep it to a minimum. In the past year I've quit smoking and drinking both alcohol and pop.
