I’ve lost 2.5 pounds since I started on Monday. I knew I could do this, and I can. I am absolutely on target.
Now to the challenges of the weekend! It’ll be a lot of fun and socializing, but I’ve got my eyes on the prize. No caloric blow-outs for me!

A tenth of a pound loss... would have liked to see the needle move a little more than THAT. But it's fine. Holding steady is better than gaining.
My habits are already resetting! I have successfully 16:8ed every weekday, as planned, and my body is getting used to that rhythm now. I had two successful 500-calorie days, also as planned. I had one social, fun, higher-calorie dinner night Wednesday, also as planned. I get to live my life along this journey too!
Now to the weekend, where I could undo it all, if I'm not careful. Luckily, I do intend to be careful. Eyes on the prize.
Wearing my too-small leather jacket today. I don't care how embarrassing it looks. Wearing it reminds me to keep visualizing and imagining how perfectly it's going to fit in mid-June.

I’ve discovered a magical thing from Amy’s Pizza: their personal-size, cheeseless, rice-crust, roast veggie pizza. You can eat the entire thing for 430 calories and still have 70 calories left for dessert. What magic is this! I went to bed full after a second consecutive 500-calorie day, and this morning I’m still not hungry.
Day 2 accomplished, pound 2 gone.

Okay, yesterday was my kick-off fast day... I'm doing 5:2 and it feels so good to be back on board.
Here's why I'm renewing my determination to lose weight.
I used to have this leather jacket, years ago. It was a size 1X and I loved it. I lost it, and I've tried to find it again ever since.
I finally found the same model on eBay, and I bought it.
Small problem (literally!): it's a size L.
I've lost a *little* weight since back then, but I'm still a 0X, for sure. I can *just* wear it, but all I can hear is Chris Farley's sing-songy voice going, "Fat guy in a liddle coat!" when I put it on. :-D If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's the reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohz8_IafGwE (Of course I'm a fat LADY in a liddle coat, but whatever!)
But that's okay, because guess what. I'm going to fit the jacket on June 15, at my school reunion event.
I am going to lose 14 pounds via a combo of low-carb, 5:2, and 16:8, and then I am going to choose whether to keep losing or maintain. I am also going to start Couch to 5K, and later this summer I am going to run a 5K.
And Imma rock that jacket. :-) It's gonna fit me like a glove.
