I was very well-behaved yesterday on my first of two 500-calorie days of the week! Not only that, but I hopped on the treadmill for the first time in months. And this morning I’m back down a pound. Normal calorie day today, and I will keep it normal!

I almost didn't record my daily weight in here because it is so depressing to be gaining for two days in a row, but that is exactly how every single weight loss attempt has failed in the past: skipping my weigh-in once, then twice, then dropping the whole initiative until it's a year and 15 pounds later and I try and fail again. That is not going to happen this time. I saw a glimmer of the 160s a couple of days ago, and I will be there again in another couple of days. I can and will do this. Today: hydration, restraint, and an early night. Tomorrow: new day.

Eh. That’s okay. I’m following my plan and seeing results. Daily fluctuations are mere blips in an ongoing downward trend! I’m feeling good about all of it.

Well, well, well! Look at that. I did go on a bit of a calorie splurge with a friend last night, so tomorrow may tell a different story, but I am obviously on the right path overall. Exciting!
