At around my usual lunchtime, I stopped to check in with my hunger. I realized that I was not physically hungry after waiting it out for an hour. It's funny that it's so easy to think that it's time to eat when I see the time. It's important to feel the physical hunger first and then respond by eating. I like this new consciousness. It makes eating a much more satisfying experience.

After 3 days of no exercise, I finally got up early this AM to do some core yoga. Lately, it's been difficult to get out of bed. Mon - still sore from Sat hike. Tues - not enough sleep. Today - plenty of sleep just too comfortable to get out of bed. Eventually, I started convincing myself how great I'll feel after a 40 min yoga session so that pulled me out. I'm finding that if I can just roll out of bed, I'll get to the yoga mat!

Yesterday, I felt lazy all day and just ate and ate and ate. I went to a party on Saturday and had a caffeinated diet soda. That was a mistake...I didn't fall asleep until after 1am and got up at 6am. Plus, the sleep was inconsistent. That set me up for a day of laziness, naps, and nonstop eating! Oh well, I'll make up for it during the week.

It's my 12th day on a vegan diet. It's also my TOM and I have very mild aches but much less severe than before. I think I can get through the day without taking ibuprofen which is a huge plus. However, I still get cravings for cheese so I got what I could "Follow Your Heart" vegan "cheese". It was actually really good! I made a "cheese" sandwich and it actually melted! It was like the real thing! However, it's expensive so I plan to savor it and use it when the cravings are really bad!
I'm also still caffeine-free. I got tempted to drink coffee with a co-worker this morning but decided to drop the temptation. I've been sleeping so well through the night since I quit. I may try decaf coffee but waiting awhile so I don't crave the real thing.
