Starting to get some
monthly
cravings and the insatiable appetite that comes with it, so that has made it a little more difficult. I am just trying to keep myself pre-occupied and eat lots of little meals.

Looks like I am doing WW and other diets. After reading the definitions of the other diets I realized that I am not just counting points (weight watchers) I seem to be following parts of other diets as well, like 'YOU:on a diet'. I read the book a while back and adapted some of the things into my lifestyle back then. For example I always look at foodlabels now and try not to buy things with High Fructose Cornsyrup, Partially Hydrogenated Oils, Enriched Flours, Artificial Sweetners and processed foods with a long list of chemicals I can't even pronounce. I have also read 'Natural Cures' and seen 'Supersize Me', which really influenced the way I look at food.
Yes, this means I can't use many of the convenient fast prep foods and I don't eat out a lot, but you get used to it. I don't even buy my beloved diet coke anymore for home. I only treat myself 1-2 times per week when I am out.
I feel like I am preaching, but these books and the movie were really eye-opening to me. More soon.........

My first month is over and I have lost a total of 13 pounds. Surely a lot of it was water weight in the beginning, but so far it's great. The first 2 weeks were tough....battling hunger and appetite, but now it seems my stomach has shrunk and I am full with less.
I am making healthier choices. There are a lot of veggies, salads and fruits you can eat that don't add up to many points.
I also try to exercise about 3 times per week for an hour. Usually half that time walking fast, the other half doing basic floor exercises, like sit-ups, push-ups, lunges, ...etc.
