Every day is a holiday
Every meal is a feast, and
Every paycheck is a fortune!
I've heard that phrase since I was a small child growing up in a Navy and Marine family. Only in the last 10 or so years have I come to realize just what it means, to me.
Every day isn't a holiday, every meal is definitely not a feast, and Lord knows that each paycheck isn't a fortune; or are they?
I used the opening phrase above with one of my 2 main WL buddies here on FS today, and said that's how I look at life. I'm extremely proud of her and I try and make sure she's smiling about her new journey as often as I can, so I tried to explain my thinking... I really hope she adopts it.
We all have bad days, but at some point each day there is something that happens to make us smile, or at least reflect on something good. It may be as simple as a butterfly distracting you from whatever "bad" is happening. Make that your holiday moment.
We all eat a meal or more each day; no, it may NOT be a feast, but reflect and think about it, what you're sitting down to for a single meal, may be more than some get in a full day. It sustains your body and mind, it nourishes you.
For me, and most, every paycheck really isn't a fortune. With kids in college, mortgages, usual bills, etc., it's usually spent before we get it, but I ALWAYS find a piece of that paycheck for ME! It may only buy a new screwdriver, or be a little extra to send flowers to my bride...
Life in general is how you make it.
Yes, there will be bad days. Yes, there will be meals that you just aren't into, and yes, there will be paychecks that just aren't enough! But it's up to YOU as to how you interpret what you have!
Try and make each day a holiday, try to make each meal a feast, and always make sure that you are rewarded for the paycheck you have earned!
How do you go about that? Attitude! ALWAYS try and find something good in a situation. Yes, it can be done, trust me, there's always a lesson to be learned in any situation.
So for me; every day is a holiday, every meal is a feast, and every paycheck is a fortune! I have come to believe that, and I'll not be convinced otherwise!
Tomorrow is Friday, let's all celebrate surviving and maintaining our goals for another week!

I'm still out here, just been VERY busy with work, having our home remodeled, and just dealing with life things. But, all is working out really well overall and I'm loving life!
Oh, what a difference almost 60 pounds gone can make on a body!
Twice a year I have to walk the entire perimeter of our facility's property, and I have ALWAYS dreaded it! It's about 1.5 miles all the way around, the terrain is rough, and it has always made me hurt physically and huff and puff less than half way in.
Yesterday was absolutely beautiful weather wise, and it was time to walk the place. I was about half way around and realized that I wasn't breathing hard! Then I noticed that my knees weren't hurting! I pressed on, and at the finish, I was almost ready to do it again! I may do it again today just because I can!
I'm loving the way the new me feels and is starting to look!
2 days until Friday folks, let's make the best out of it!

My redneck meal prep for next week's lunches and some snacks. I love this WOE, it allows me to have the foods I adore!
Babyback ribs, cured country style pork ribs, homemade Italian sausage, and some homemade bratwurst. All smoking with hickory wood.
All of these reheat very well when heated in a vacuum bag in hot water, or nuked at the workplace.
Hope everyone is doing great this weekend!
