As I said yesterday I began my weight loss in January of last year! My begining weight was 267 pounds. I am very happy with my progress so far! I wish i had this program back then but I did not know about until yesterday. I am hoping that since my weight loss has slowed down that keeping a food and weight loss journal I will keep myself honest and my weight loss will pick back up! the holidays have been a time full of way to much junk food and now I am finding my will power against snacking has vanished. Everyday I find myself thinking about junk food. I can not believe how much I crave it after a time of weakness when I have allowed myself to eat all the wonderful things that got me into this situatuion in the first place. I am trying to find a happy compromise between what I need to eat and what my family wants. I am hoping to find a few new rescipes so encourage my family to eat better we in general do not eat to terribly but my significant other could use some help with portion control. I have gotten much better about it myself. I feel like in weight loss I am at a slight disadvantage to many people. I am allergic to arificial sweeteners so I can not have all of the zero calorie drinks and lo-cal goodies. However, I am kind of lucky too because that stuff is not good for you. I have tried all the different brands and kinds they all make my heart go crazy! So they just are not worth it! I drink just about only water cause I do not like Tea or Coffee other than the occasional Starbucks. So as of today I have lost 60 lbs. The lowest weight I reached as of this point was 203 but as I said the hoiday season has been rough. That is okay cause it is a new year and I AM GONNA TAKE CARE OF MYSELF AND MAKE ME HAPPY! I am hoping to find a way to fit in a new exercise program. It does not have to be radical My goalat this point is just to fit i0n a 20 to 30 minute walk 3 times per week. If I can make that happen for a while then I will try adding in a little strength traning. In theroy I am supposed to be getting married even thought my relationship is currently in a major hard time. I would like to get started on finding abs that I am not ashamed of and arms that I am not afraid to expose. If we get past this and the wedding happens I would like to get Married in November. So I have just about 10 monthes to get my body to a place that I can feel proud on. So My short term goal is to get down to 190 lbs. I have not seen that weight since about 11 years ago. I am getting so close. With this new determination I am hoping to get there soon. Ultimately in the end I would like to get down to about 170 pounds. It has been closer to 15 years since I have been that weight. I am hoping if I can reach am maintain these goals I can avoid some of the ailments that affect the majority of my family like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. I am also hoping I can set good examples for my children to help break my familys tendancies toward obesity.

So I joined my first challenge and I was thinking it started today! It really starts tomorrow ha ha Oh well. I forced my self to get out of bed half an hour early and went to a 40 minute walk! YA! It feels good. I am a little concerned that I am not sleeping enough. I know that my body needs rest but I just can not seem to shut down at night. I am hoping by adding the exercise that will get better too. Well at least I may get to bed earlier since I am getting up earlier. I am gonna drive the route that I walked today so I have some idea how far I walked. I am trying to convince a friend to do this with me we have both been working on weight lose together since last year. So far we have both been pretty successful.
