Trade show over - working at desk and trying to get organized, super tired. Homemade store bought chicken soup with lots of fat. First time I have not scooped the top layer of "cold hard" fat off the top before heating it up. Now having learned the truth about fat it is Welcome in my diet. It's hot and Very soothing!! The scale went up a couple lbs, probably from swelling - on my feet all weekend, but i'm not reporting it officially as I expect it to go DOWN!! The Keto stick is Burning. The new foster, Ray, is super sweet and Very Independent.

Here's my lunch, cleaning out the fridge before the long weekend downtown. Bacon, Eggs with Gruyere and Sour Cream (just because), Walnuts, Brazil Nuts and Pecans and Arugula :)

At the end of January I weighed 228, before my trip. There was the odd day after an extended fast that the scale dipped down to 226, and most recently 225. Today the 225 is the real thing and I'm thinking it won't creep back up. Half of Feb I was on vacation in Cuba and easily maintained while drinking Champagne every single day :) not to mention amazing Cruise food offered up all day long. Then the last 2 weeks I've been having meltdowns with the major trade-show that starts tomorrow for the weekend. I was quite happy to see a solid 225 today.
Starting Monday, when the trade-show is over, and my seasonal business doesn't quite fully ramp up til April, I plan on doing a month of alternate day fasting to blow off another 10lb. Oh, and during the 16 hour a day trade show I plan on doing OMAD (one meal a day/partial fasting) of nuts/cheese/hard boiled eggs and avocado. No longer feeling like it is a sin to not eat or miss a meal, but being confident that not eating is AMAZING.

Work stress is mounting. UGH. This is one part of my life that I can't balance. It's seasonal, it's persistent and has been my existence for 25+ years. Can't say I don't have consistency in my life. I can feel the cortisol coursing through my blood. Hopefully by next Tuesday (not this Tuesday) things will settle down after this trade show. Having lunch right now, eggs/avocado in my salad w nuts/turkey sausage and cheese. None of you have ever called me out on eating my salads out of a pot at work. :)

Tonight we had Egg Roll in a Bowl - YUM - ground meat/broccoli/cauliflower/cabbage - ginger/garlic/soy aminos.
I stopped and my local market on the way home from work - 2 Bags = $200. It's a good thing I don't have kids, couldn't afford them. I bought avocado oil, and grass fed beef, and coconut oil, grass fed milk, organic tomatoes... yikes!! Also, I got a new foster on Monday, his name is Ray and he is awesome. Fasting (free) = better food for when I do eat.
