What are some of your embarassing/emotional/eye opening reasons for loosing weight?
I don't recognize the person I see in the mirror right now...I've gained about 40 pounds in the past 4 years and I need to reverse the trend. The whole "not comfortable in my skin" thing describes me to a T.
I want to wear pretty clothes again, and not be limited to outfits that don't make me look like The Blob. I want to wear sexy bras (thick straps AREN'T sexy).
I want to feel more confident in social situations. The way I feel about my body is starting to make me avoid going out with my thinner friends and meeting new people. I don't want to end up a recluse sitting on the couch with my cats, eating and watching TV every night.
I don't want to feel threatened every time my wonderful BF has a friendly conversation with an attractive woman...and right now, I think they're ALL more attractive than I am.
I don't want to cringe every time I see a photo of me. I took my son and daughter to Puerto Rico in June, and but if you look at my photo album from the trip, you wouldn't know I had been there. Whenever anyone aims a camera at me, I run. Or hide behind something.
I want to go shopping in my closet...I have so many nice things that I can't wear at the moment.
I want to get rid of that roll of back fat that bulges out from my bra strap. Ewww!!
Nice to see that I'm not alone, though...
