I'm so happy! I went to Dr's for check up and found that I've lost 4 lbs since last time I saw him!
This diet is the best! I have so much more energy, now going to dance practice twice a week!!! This is amazing for me since just a few weeks ago I could barely walk 5 minutes up our hill, I was exhausted.
Things are going really well. My blood pressure was down to 107/84 and my blood glucose is 126!! This is very good news for me!
I'm excited and happy that it is working!!!!

WooHoo! I finally "officially" started the SBD! I cleaned out the pantry, gave all my cookies, crackers, chips, candies and pasta to my best friend (who is way too thin) and she was happy as a clam as was I!
I had green salad with tuna and splash of red wine vinegrette for lunch (woke up too late for breakfast), made turkey meatloaf and salad with rasberry/chipotle vinegrette for dinner and will be eating a few nuts and V8 for snack before I go to bed. Not too hungry even though it is late, feel really excited and happy to finally start!
On a side note, my friend and I exchanged unused (old but still nice) Christmas Cards so now I don't have to buy new Xmas Cards for this year! Nice to get something out of the way so early!

Happy 07-07-07 to everyone! Went to dance practice today, could move around a lot better. Have more energy too! I think I'll just make a concious effort to not eat bad stuff (and then clean out the pantry) because it's taking too long to get started. I did have a V8 and string cheese and pistachios for snack but bad dinner (had 1 bowl of rice w/ spicy tofu & hamburger -- at restaurant in Japanese town). I also drank a protein shake for breakfast which kept me going thru dance practice 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm! I had the shake around noon, I woke up at 10:30 am. I think I'm writing everything backwards! Oh well, I don't have any hunger pangs even though it's 10 pm, and I'm going to sleep soon.

Well, I ate like a pig for 4th of July, my best friend invited us over and we had hot dogs, chicken burgers, sushi, salad and apple pie, ice cream. We started around 3 pm and left around 11 pm and kind of just ate all evening.
I STILL haven't started the diet yet. However, good news! I stopped eating in the middle of the night. I started by eating breakfast every day and that seems to have helped with eating at night. Not sure why, though. I don't eat as much at dinner, and I tried eating unsalted nuts whenever I did get hungry, and so the midnight eating just faded away! This helped me to lose a few pounds.
I've been a lot more active too. I cleaned out my library/office, started selling Avon products, started the writing classes, starting dancing again on Saturdays. I seem to have a lot more energy these days.
Hubby and I keep saying we'll start "this week", but things keep popping up and before you know it, we're eating take out or stuff that's around the house. I really have to clean out the pantry and get rid of the "bad" foods, cuz I'm snacking sometimes during the day, but I DO intend to start soon.
I'm encouraged though that I'm eating less and not eating middle of the night and have more energy, excited about life, happy to be doing things and not just moping around depressed.
I bought some shorts for the summer heatwave and even though I look terrible, at least I'm comfortable! I really thought I'd have to wear XL or 1X, but I fit into a L (from JC Penny) shorts, they have elastic waist bands so I don't mind because if I do lose weight, they'll still fit for a while.
Hopefully, I'll get that pantry cleaned out by the end of this week and really start the SBD by weekend!

Having trouble starting the diet. I've been feeling sick and hubby's been cooking/bringing home take out.
My class started yesterday, it's an online class and there were 66 messages in the first 2 days! I can't keep up! It's exhausting. Plus I have homework due and a raging headache for two days running.
Sorry to pout about my life here. I need to get back to reading those messages and reading my assignments.
I'll try to get onto the diet hopefully by this weekend. I've just not been feeling well at all, can't think, sleep, read, eat, anything. Just blah.
