fatsecret fro blackberry don't have sync option (version 1.6.1)
I had the same problem. I even wrote to the App folks on Blackberry. Funny thing though, I tried it again after about a week and scrolled all the way up first then scrolled to the bottom of the sync section and the button was there. What seemed to be happening for me was that the app was putting me into the add section. After I did this, I was able to sync and it is now working great.

carbohydrates vs. protein
I have been taught that a good rule of thumb is to divide your plate in half then divide the half into quarters. Fill the half with fresh fruit and veggies. Fill one of he quarters with lean protein and one quarter with complex carbs like brown rice or a whole wheat roll. It has been working for me when I have been travelling and have to eat out. I am on Jenny Craig and that falls in line with their Volumetrics Approach.
