It's been a crazy few months. I have gained some weight. I hope it is due to the steroids I've been on. My eyes are getting better, thankfully. Still not back to baseline, but improved enough that I drove myself into town. I have to stay on antibiotics indefinitely.
I planted a new tomato this year---a chocolate tomato. They are very sweet and juicy. Made a cucumber and tomato salad for dinner.

My tag line says it's been 67 days since I last weighed in. I weigh almost every day, just don't record it. Have lost some, but am struggling. My will power/determination is sorely lacking. I think this never ending winter has a lot to do with it. Tomorrow is May 1st and we still have snow on the ground. Only good thing about this winter has been the magnificent northern lights.
Finally get to see an ophthalmologist on Thursday for my eye. I hope something can be done. I'm afraid to drive at night and if hubby is gone I am pretty much stuck at home after dark. Did get some birthday cards made.

Cookies for the boys for Valentine's Day. I didn't bake as I have been busier than normal.
Another anniversary ruined by covid. Last year we were to go to Vegas, but hubby was still not feeling well. This year we were going to drive to the city for dinner. The Paxlovid has really made this go around so much easier for him, but he wasn't up for the 2 hour drive. I've been craving a gyros so got one and brought it home. Didn't get one for him as he doesn't care for gyros. Made him a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. A childhood classic.

What a week! My husband has covid for the 3rd time. He admitted to the symptoms fairly quickly so he was able to get Paxlovid. The pharmacist called and went through all his meds and the adjustments that need to be made. The Paxlovid seems to be working. If his cough doesn't improve, he needs to have more testing as he could have a new variant. And yes--he's had vaccinations and boosters.
Made wings for the Super Bowl. They got a little dark in the air fryer, but were still delicious. Didn't even make a dessert, but to be honest, I had made a Snickers doodle pound cake earlier in the week. Didn't have any though.I am grateful have maintained. Is my scale broken?
We live 2 hours from a large ICBM field/air base. We're used to seeing/hearing air traffic--mostly Air Force F-22s and C-130s. As I was coming home from picking up the Paxlovid, I heard the familiar sound of jets. Looked up and saw Navy jets coming in to land. Something new.
