Hi all. I am a contractor and work from home, traveling to client sites. When out of town, as you might imagine, it is soooo hard to eat properly but I try. Normally not too bad, just have to keep in mind what needs to happen.

I started this journey about 4 months ago and lost 30 pounds doing it. My doc thought it was great and said to keep doing what I was doing. Right now, I am targeting another 30 pounds and am focused on 185 to 175. I keep my goals reasonable and in line with where I want to get to now, not where I want to finally be. I had previously been at 185 and held it there for 7 years but fell off the wagon and went back up. For me it has to be a life style change.

My biggest challenge is that I am diabetic and have to be real careful on that, adjusting for activity and food I eat other wise I drop really low. So currently walking is my exercise routine until I get lower on the blood sugar and the reaction isn't so bad. Kind of a like a good boy / bad boy sit. But I know it, can feel it and adjust when I feel it. I really keeping track of all of this as I know it will be really good long term.

What do we use the this posting system for?
I am trying to get into the system as much as possible. Not to worry, I am not an obsessive person. E.g. I broke three ribs by falling against the side of a tub (don't do it really, really hurts) and the doctor wanted to know if I needed some pain relief.

Considering I could barely move much less get out of bed or a chair, I said yes. So he asked if I had an addictive personality, which I don't, and so he gave me a shot of morphine (no idea how much). The only think I can tell you is that by the time my wife drove me home, 10 minutes from the hospital, I had to be helped up the stairs and never even thought of anything the entire night. The only thing that made me feel good with this is that I was able to feel is that I could sleep and felt nothing...
