Down one pound this week! YaY me! Hubby has lost nearly 8 pounds in two weeks. I am working harder at Ketocycle than he is!!! We each ate one egg and one piece of bacon for Sunday breakfast.Sunday lunch and dinner for me was salads with avocado and chicken strips. (Salad was from a Mexican restaurant that I took home as a to-go box for supper. Hubby ate tamales, beans and rice for lunch) I Snacked on Omega-3 trail mix mid afternoon.. Hubby added Spam to his supper, and still drinking milk at bedtime, but skipping the cookies. Is this quite fair? I will say, my bedtime glucose was 88 and I ate some peanut butter to make sure it didn't drop too low overnight. So ketocycle is running my blood sugar lower. That's a plus! His morning blood sugar 126, mine 132.
Today same breakfast, with Keto coffee as a snack for me. Aiming for salads again today. Will see how this works out today.
Adding 25 minutes of pilates stretching today.

Working on following Keto Cycle for a while. Hubby's sugar is elevated, averaging around 125. For me that would be a good enough number, but for him, with no diabetes in his medical history, it is too high. So we are trying to stick closely to keto macros. I will have cataract surgery at the end of August. Not looking forward to that, but maybe I can drive at night again after that is done.
We have had nearly a month of 3 digit temperatures, with only one rain, so I have let my garden go. Watering as much as I would have to do to keep it alive in 103-104+ temps would be prohibitive cost, as well as overtaxing our water resources. We are in drought conditions and no burn conditions. Hopefully we will cool down soon so I can have a short season fall/winter garden.
Too hot to walk unless I get out by 6 am, and I am not a morning person, so need to get started on an indoor exercise session.
So all of that sounds more negative than I usually post, but we are well, actually losing weight, and content with our old age activities. God bless us all!

We had the most wonderful family reunion! All five of us siblings were able to come, even the younger brother who had stents inserted just a few weeks ago. So the brother from California, age 84 and his wife, the brother from Washingon, 78 and two of his daughters, the sister from Tennessee, age 78 (yes, they are twins), me, from Texas, 81, (and my hubby, 79) and oldest brother, 85, from Texas, with his two kids, all spent three lovely days together at Round Rock, Texas. The kids (those under 60) ran around sight seeing and we older ones talked and reminesced, and laughed, and cried and put ourselves together as a family, maybe for the last time. Memories!!
So I watched what I ate last week and now I am down into the 163s! Yea for me!

Morning blood sugar 130, weight 165
Lovely day today, overcast and cooler, great for garden work. Spread mulch in flower bed and garden, planted two tomatoes and two pots of ornamental sweet potatoes.
Spent a couple of hours helping sort donations for food pantry.
Am noticing I have more energy today. Is it result of diet and pre/probiotics, or is it because humidity and heat are not so high? Don't know, but I do thank the Lord for it!
Hubby plans for us to attend a rodeo tonight -- one of his favorite things to do. This particular one has been on a rainy weekend for the last two years. Rain is forecast tonight!
Rodeo plan fell through!

Morning blood sugar: 134, weight: 165.2
Weeding flowers beds, 1 hour this morning. Bermuda grows really well in garden and flower bed, but not so well on the lawn! I finally caught up with it in the flower bed today, needing to add some mulch now.
Stuck to diet fairly well today. Eating lots of salads and drinking lots of mint green tea. Still following Dr. Gundry's 30 day plan as close as I can.
Bedtime glucose: 103
