I thought they were foods I hated... but now I want them everyday. Tilapia and oatmeal. Not together of course. LOL
I also just realized I am not going to make it to my RDI today. While it was nice to have a snow and sleep in, it threw off my eating. Now at 9:17pm, I really don't think I can get in 400 calories :P oh well.

Comfort foods tonight. I stayed on track by controlling portion sizes. So I have a happy feeling tummy, and not the agony of being an over-engorged tick about to pop.
I am trying out this idea when presented with things I would love to pig out on: Yes, it does taste really good. Yes, I will be able to taste it again. So, I don't need to eat all of it right now.
So far, it works on somethings... but I am still powerless against pizza :P

Down 3 lbs this week. Considering it is my first week, that isn't a bad number. I know eventually it will be more like 1 or 2 lbs in a week. But anyway... WOOOO WHOOOO!
For my next challenge, I am looking to persuade my husband to join me on this healthy lifestyle stuff. I think he is scared because he loves food so much. So, I need to find healthy alternatives to the things he likes. Then, the next feat would be enlightening him on portion sizes.
Hmmm.. Maybe I will save that for week 3. This next week I want to see about integrate some sort of physical activity.
Weigh-in:
222.0 lb
lost so far:
5.0 lb
still to go:
72.0 lb
Diet followed reasonably well

Crazy busy day. I didn't make the best food choices, but I am staying in my target calories. That makes me feel good even if everything else went to hell today.

The positive
: Half way through my first week. Even though I haven't set up a workout plan yet, I feel more in control. I really like the phone app to help track my eating. Since my phone has become an extension of myself, I don't have an excuse not to track as I go.
Facing the numbers up front certainly helps deter bad choices.
The negative
: I am wearing a t-shirt today and my kid came over to give me hug. When I raised my arm he poked th flabby part and goes, "It's giggly." It made me laugh more than hurt my feelings because he was so innocent about it. It also made me think I need to incorporate physical activity into this thing, but that is easier said than done.
