I am a 30 year old mom, wife, and born-again-college-student... as in I did this college stuff before now I am finishing it.

I am here because I have dieted before. I have been successful before. I thought I was finished before... The truth I have learned is this "healthy lifestyle" thing does not have an end. It is my journey and no one else is going to care for it except me. So, this is my little spot on the internet to remind myself what I am doing and how I am getting it done :)

Maybe it might be useful to others.

Something I have learned and you should know: It's not always all about me. I don't take everything so seriously, but don't take me as shallow.

What are some of your embarassing/emotional/eye opening reasons for loosing weight?
I had bought tickets for my husband and I to go to an NHL game for Valentine's Day. I sat down in the stadium seat to find parts of my butt bubbling out the sides. I was so embarrassed that I didn't get up for the entire game. 2 days later I joined Weight Watchers.

I fit into the seats comfortably now. My next dream is to shop at regular size stores Smile

Chicken Tonight
That's what we are having... Some sort of chicken.

I was wondering what unique and different takes people have on this versatile protein.

I could search a recipe database, but I wanted to hear what you all like to do Smile

smaller clothing
I have bought clothes a size smaller to motivate me. And you know what? When I got to that size the clothes looked like crap on me because they were the wrong cut for my body. While I could fit into the thing, it did nothing for my body shape. I was disappointed even though I essentially got what I wanted.

Our control over our body shape while slimming down is sometimes limited. I say, buy things that look good on you now. When I feel good in my clothes, I am more comfortable and confident. Those two factors are way more motivating for me.
