Seems I've hit a new wall in my weight loss. What I believe is happening is that I'm on so few calories and my activity level is much higher now, that I actually need more calories before my body is willing to really give up more pounds. So, I'm going to add an additional shake this week and see if that changes things.

I have plans to really bump up my activity level (marathon training and a personal trainer to boot!), but I can't do that until I'm back into a full groove on food. In fact, I think it would be dangerous to do otherwise.

In other news, my mens cooking group "Men Cooking Dangerously" made gumbo for about 80 people...they loved it! Naturally, I didn't touch one drop of it, but it sure was a hit.

I'm off to ski and snowmobile this weekend and I'm taking a group of young people with me. That should burn a few calories!

All in all, I have no regrets about not being at 177 yet. I'll get there in good course.

I'm back into the work out regime! I cruised through Superbowl Sunday as well as taking my staff out for High Tea with no cheating casualties on my part! Whew!

I'm reading a fun little book that spent some time on the New York Times Bestseller list called "Younger Next Year:Live Strong, Fit and Sexy-Until You're 80 and Beyond." It reads more like a personal conversation rather than a book, and some of the facts are good. I personally enjoy the affirmation that taking care of one's self physically is just a must once we get past 30. The book says to work out six days a week minimum, for one hour! That jibes with my own goal and I'm glad the science agrees!

I expect to leave the 200's within the next two weeks...hurray! And, I expect to transition out of this fast and into real food on St. Patrick's Day. Here we go!
